Corrections

A 2008 report from the U. S. Department of Justice revealed that 2,310,984 prisoners were held in federal or state prisons or in local jails.  Among the many challenges encountered by today’s correctional facilities is the problems presented by urine remediation.  From urine odor and staining to inmates using urine and body discharges as weapons, correctional facilities must maintain clean, hygienic environments for inmates and employees, even in the most problematic of situations.

Infection control is a priority, as illness can spread rapidly throughout the facility population.

Urine Off’s revolutionary bio-enzymatic urine remediation solutions are used worldwide by cleaning professionals to eliminate urine odors and stains permanently on surfaces including grout, porcelain, tile, plastic, metal, clothing, linens, and vinyl mattresses.  Urine Off destroys all components of urine and body discharges, including their proteins, which are an effective growth medium for disease causing microorganisms.

Currently, many correctional facilities clean using bleach.  Although inexpensive, bleach is caustic, causing damage to vinyl mattresses and necessitating costly replacement.  Use of caustic chemicals damages other surfaces as well, leading to higher operating costs due to item replacements.  Urine Off eliminates the uric acid crystals that can cause harmful corrosion, without the use of toxic or caustic chemicals, saving correctional facilities the cost of replacing these assets. Because Urine Off is non-toxic and non-caustic, it is not irritating to the skin and membranes of inmates, guards or other employees.

Urine Off destroys all the components of urine and body fluids such as semen, feces. bile and vomit, including their proteins, leaving a refreshingly clean, hygienic environment.

In addition to its cleaning prowess, correctional facilities use Urine Off because it is non-toxic and non-caustic, making it an unlikely choice for weaponization.
